Our Culture & History
Our culture – meaning the personality of our company as a whole – continues to be formed through a blend of employee contribution, client feedback, management style, and a consistent concentration on delivering premium level service to all clients. While we work under the TEAM concept (Together Everyone Achieves More), our staff members are empowered; encouraged to seek solutions and make decisions on their own. Our days sometimes have themes, like “Thankful Thursday – Be Sure to Thank a Client Today” and we smile when we answer the phone.But if you think great service means no fun, you’d be mistaken. A TEAM member that completes a difficult search, has a great suggestion or pitches in when the heat is on will likely find themselves surrounded by peers chanting “HOOOO-HOOOO-HOOOO” — a sure sign the APE award (Acts of Performance Excellence), a stuffed toy chimp, is being delivered. You might find us socializing together after work, helping out with a community project or organizing a company team for a fund raiser.
It’s the combined traits of a great staff. It’s the suggestions from our clients. It’s management style. It’s the common drive to deliver the best service possible. It’s our culture, and we’d like to share it with you.
easyBackgrounds` roots extend back to 1995 and a company named Commercial Investigative Services. Back then we offered the corporate community a broad spectrum of investigative services, including background checks. As time passed and the Internet made it possible to automate much of the work involved with pre-employment screening, this segment of our business grew substantially. In 2000 we made the decision to focus solely on background checks, and in 2002 re-branded the company as a Web-based organization under the name easyBackgrounds.
Along the way, we`ve become very involved within the background screening industry. As a founding member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), easyBackgrounds management and employees have volunteered on a wide variety of committees, worked with legislators to promote or fight regulation, and represented the industry in venues across the country.
Through all of it, we`ve tried to be a good corporate citizen with philanthropic efforts, volunteer work and community outreach (to see how a little money can have a huge impact, visit the KIVA site.)
Our Corporate Office and Client Services Group are located in Newfields, NH and our Technical Operations are in Austin, TX.
